Beau and Hercules - Rescued Horse BEAU & HERCULES
Beau and Hercules are about the "cutest" twosome you ever did see! They had previously been rescued prior to coming to Forever Free. Both had been abused and had some serious issues. Thankfully, they were adopted by a wonderful couple, but due to unfortunate circumstances the boys became in need of a new home. I am so thankful I was called and am blessed to have these two fellas added to our family. They have settled in wonderfully and are an inspiration to all of us. By the way, Hercules (the miniature) is 31 years old!

UPDATE: A Tribute to Hercules

He may have appeared small, but Hercules was a giant. Such a big heart, such a big personality for standing only 33" at the shoulder. This is a final farewell and tribute to my beautiful friend Hercules. What a mighty name for such a tiny package, and yet not even his namesake could save him from his fate. The morning of September 30th Hercules quietly and bravely left this world. For so many of his 33 years he suffered from chronic Founder and toward the end of his life he was no longer able to stand. Nourishment had to be brought to him and eventually he just quit eating. He had a wonderful life and found a kindred spirit in Beau, our Welsh Mountain pony. They were buddies and inseparable, and I am sure Beau is feeling the loss of his little friend deeply. Hercules and Beau came to us as a pair by way of David & Pamela Ramsay whom over the years have so generously support both of them. All of us at Forever Free are devastated by this loss as well as the Ramsay's. Hercules, you made such an impact on everyone who met you and even though you were so small the hole in our hearts you have left is so big! We love you...we miss you, and I will see you again my little friend.
