Dailey is the horse I brought home with Magnum. She seems to be in better condition than Magnum, but still was extremely hungry when arriving at Forever Free. After stabilizing her, I spoke to a friend at Pegasus Riding Academy located here in the desert and thought just maybe my friend would like to use her as a teaching/riding horse for handicapped children. She happily agreed as Pegasus does such wonderful work with children with all different types of handicaps. My friend renamed her Duchess, and now Duchess is part of the Pegasus family. I will be keeping in touch with Pegasus to make sure Duchess is doing well and is happy. If not, either way Duchess' final home will be at Forever Free.
God Bless all horses who suffer needlessly for whatever reason. For this reason I must save these precious creatures. My heart aches knowing there are thousands more who are in need of my help. I will continue to do all I can to save them one horse at a time.
UPDATE: Duchess has returned to Forever Free Horse Rescue from Pegasus Riding Academy and we are so happy to have her back. Duchess has been working with special needs children at Pegasus when it was determined that she was just a bit to "hot" for the kids to ride, so back home she came. She and Rosie have formed quite a bond and have become inseparable. Welcome back home Duchess!
