ROSIE
On Wednesday January 31st Forever Free Horse Rescue rescued our 24th Horse. Her name is Rosie and she is an 8 year old Quarter Horse. Rosie was scheduled to be euthanized January 27th because unfortunately, Rosie has some medical issues that her "parents" could not financially cover due to the fact that medical bills are mounting for their beautiful 17 year old daughter suffering from Muscular Dystrophy. They felt backed into a corner with no other option. The very day Rosie was to be put down a friend of the owner found Forever Free on the internet and made the call to Yvonne that would save Rosie's life. Without hesitation Yvonne agreed to adopt Rosie and care for her medical condition. To our delight, the following Wednesday Rosie arrived. Reporter Natalie Brand from CBS TV 2 was at the rescue with her crew to greet our newest addition. With camera in hand Natalie began to interview Rosie's "dad" Tom. Tom began to unfold the story of the events that led him to the gates of Forever Free stating that he "believed the good Lord put Rosie in the life of his family to help his daughters younger siblings deal with their precious sister eventually succumbing to her illness." As the tears began to flow it was at that moment we realized that not only does Forever Free Horse Rescue save equines in need, but we also rescue the hearts of hurting people. |
